Learn About The Eastern New York Goat Club

Vintage ENYGC show

The Eastern New York Goat Club, Inc. was established in 1946. We encourage friendly relations among all goat breeders and promote the dairy goat and goat industry in general. Our club advocates fair and ethical business practices among our members while working to improve dairy goats through encouraging both Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) production testing and official shows. ENYGC makes information available to goat breeders concerning better management practices and educates the public on the real values of dairy goats and goat products. We promote pride in being a dairy goat breeder and member of the ENYGC.

We annually jointly sponsor the Super Buck Extravaganza which is a 4 ring buck show and we sponsor the Northeast Dairy Goat Classic which is a 2 ring combined & junior doe show in May at the Altamont Fairgrounds.

We meet the 2nd Sunday of February, April & December if no holidays conflict with those Sundays. Occasionally special meetings may be called by the president if warranted.

Our meetings are usually held at the Albany County Cornell Cooperative Extension Building which is located at 24 Martin Road in Voorheesville.

Our membership application can be downloaded and printed on the Join ENYGC page. Recently we've had an influx of new members and we'd love to have you join us too! Annual individual membership is $7 and a family membership is $10.

Check the ENYGC Calendar for our next meeting dates & times.
